Nuxalk Fisheries Department Support

The Nuxalk Fisheries Department supports the Nuxalk Hereditary Chiefs in the fight to stop fish farms. Nuxalk Fisheries is a scientific office that works on many projects with the wild salmon for the Nuxalk Community and the Food Fishery. We oppose fish farms and have observed the poor decisions made by the provincial and federal governments and the offices which represent them. They must be held accountable for the loss of the wild salmon. We have also observed the increased levels of sea lice in the Central Coast, as well as the dropping numbers of wild salmon returning to Nuxalk rivers. Save the wild salmon, and stop the fish farms.
